Project Coordinator

National Research Center, Inc. (NRC) is seeking an entry level Project Coordinator/Assistant. The Project Coordinator/Assistant will be responsible for formatting documents, managing established processes, generating reports based on templates, and maintaining ongoing communication with colleagues and clients.

This position is for an organized person with the ability to be both a leader and a team-player. Successful candidates in the past have had experience in diverse fields such as event planning, conference coordination and other areas requiring acute attention to detail while managing vendor and client relationships, deadlines, budgets and competing priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS
  • Minimum of 2 years real-world experience
  • A positive attitude and the desire and willingness to learn
  • Significantly detail oriented
  • Sound skills in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Demonstrable mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities, including the ability to manage the relationships between multiple ongoing, related strands of work
  • A good rapport working with diverse individuals of varying levels of expertise
  • The ability to work well as a team member

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Advanced level skills in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel; familiarity with MS Access a plus
  • Research skills, including knowledge of study design, data collection and data analysis
  • Experience conducting Internet-based research/fact-finding on various topics using general and academic sources/databases
  • Experience translating data from numbers to intuitive, clear and professional displays
  • Project management experience
  • Writing/editing for a professional audience
  • Experience working within and managing a budget
  • Experience supervising the work of contractors and/or other staff

Compensation and Benefits

  • The Project Coordinator/Assistant is a full-time, entry level position with benefits in a small, innovative company. Starting salary is in the mid-thirties, commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive benefits package is provided for all full-time employees.
