NRC Directs Survey in Afghanistan
NRC is working with The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) to conduct surveys in 5 towns near Kabul. The data are being collected by a team of local interviewers, shown in the photo, below. Also shown are interviews underway with residents of Charikar. Once 200 to 300 households are surveyed in each community, tracking surveys will be conducted in coming years to determine the degree to which ICMA-motivated municipal improvements are noticed and appreciated by residents.

NRC has conducted the citizen survey for Rockville, MD since 2001. The fully customized survey draws from NRC’s innovations laboratory for survey research that created The National Citizen Survey,™ a partnership project with The International City/County Management Association (ICMA). This 30 second piece showcases the utility of NRC’s survey work in Rockville and it describes the value of The NCS.
